IT’S easy to tell if one of your co-workers is sleeping with the boss
with tips from a leading expert.
All you have to do, says business psychologist Dr. Margaret
Keener, is keep your eyes peeled for “three tell-tale warning signs
that will expose with unfailing accuracy who’s spending naughty time
between the sheets with the big kahuna.”
“It’s important to identify these women because they’ve
got the boss’s ear, and that means they can help you get ahead on the job - or if you
rub them the wrong way, get you fired,” the Raleigh, North Carolina-based expert told
me in an exclusively interview.
“Men sometimes sleep with their bosses, too,” she adds,
“and that includes gay employees with gay bosses and lower-level male employees with
sleep with their female bosses.
“But I haven’t studied them. There are more male bosses who
sleep with the women the supervise. That is the traditional scenario and also the most
common.”
You’ll know with “a great degree of certainty” that
a co-worker is having an affair with the boss if she:
1. Nervously returns from an unusual number of
closed-door meetings in the boss’s office with mussed up hair, an unbuttoned blouse,
missing panty hose, and just one shoe. Lipstick on the boss’s face, collar and
inseam are dead giveaways, too.
2. Asks the boss for his personal credit card and car
keys before going on a “long-lunch shopping spree” at his expense, an outing she
“advertises” by sashaying back into the office with an expensive nighty,
fur or even an art object that she could never afford on her salary.
3. “Slips up” and calls the boss by cute names like
“Pookie” and “Big Boy” at board meetings or staff get-togethers, and
then winks and titters at her “faux pas” to make sure everybody in the room
heard what she said
”Employees who are sleeping with the boss also tend to ‘freeze up’
and ‘act nervous’ when the big guy’s wife drops by the office,” says
Keener.
“Either that or an ugly cat fight breaks out when she flies off the handle after
realizing that no matter how much loving she gets from the head honcho, he’s
still going home to another woman, namely, the woman he promised to love and cherish
for life.”
