Here’s the photograph
the Democratic Party absolutely, positively DOESN’T want  you to see: presidential
candidate Barack Obama sucking on a cancer stick while relaxing after a
long, hard day on the campaign trail.
Sources say the “rock star” senator and odds-on favorite to beat
elderly republican candidate John McCain in their race for the White
House “didn’t realize” a photographer was recording the smoke break
for posterity, “otherwise that fagg wouldn’t have been in his mouth, it
would have been under his shoe.”
The senator’s decades-long smoking habit has been in the
news and a topic of controversy ever since conservative radio talk show
host Michael Savage and then, several weeks later, Fox News reported that Obama was
trying to conceal his nicotine addiction from voters.
Media Matters, a left-leaning watchdog group often at war with both Savage
and Fox, hit back, claiming that Obama has never made any secret of his smoking, at least
not since he talked about it during his race for the U.S. Senate in 2004.
As MM put it in a newsletter, Fox host John Gibson, during a
discussion with Manhattan Institute senior fellow John
H. McWhorter and Young Democrats of America’s Malia Lazu, said:
“[Obama’s] team works overtime trying to hide Obama’s dirty little
secret. He is - get this - a cigarette smoker. The point is: What else do we not know
about Barack Obama?”
MM went on to “set the record straight,” saying, “Despite Gibson’s
claim that Obama’s smoking is “a dirty little secret,” Obama told the Chicago
Tribune in December 2005 that his smoking is “an ongoing battle,” and his
cigarette use was, in fact, known
during his 2004 Senate campaign, when his wife told the Chicago Sun-Times that he smokes
‘about three Marlboros a day.’”
 Here at
derekclontz.com, we don’t care how many cigarettes Mr. Obama smokes.
Nor do we disagree with Fox or Media Matters, because both, technically, may be
correct:
- Media Matters in their assertion that Obama fessed up to smoking four
years ago,
- Gibson in his contention that Obama’s team have tried to keep the habit
under wraps.
This brings us to our world-exclusive photo, delivered to us by a source close to the
senator.
“I hope this puts this matter to rest once and for all,” the insider said
while also suggesting, but not confirming, that Mr. Obama knew the picture
was being sent.
“So he smokes a few Marlboros - it’s not like they don’t have ash
trays in the White House. What do people think he’s going to do - burn holes in the
carpet?
“I doubt it.”
