Are We All Enemies of the State?

By John W. Whitehead
April 21, 2009

THIS WEEK: Speaking out against government practices with which you disagree is a protected First Amendment right. However, as John Whitehead warns in this week’s vodcast, doing so could also make you a political enemy of the state and a target for government surveillance.

On Target with John Whitehead
® is a video blog that provides viewers with Whitehead’s insightful, relevant and provocative take on popular culture and constitutional issues. Click to view "Are We All Enemies of the State?" VideoWhitehead is considered by many to be a legal, political and cultural watchdog—sounding the call for integrity, accountability and an adherence to the democratic principles on which this country was founded. As Whitehead often remarks, “Anytime people find themselves under fire from both the liberal left and the conservative right, it means that that person is probably right on target.”

Audio versions of On Target with John Whitehead are available for download and for use by radio stations as MP3 files and online through The Rutherford Institute and iTunes.
