In a history-making first, the U.S. Mint has secretly released 50 mis-cast pennies that show President Abraham Lincoln without a beard.

Valued at $100,000 each, the coins can make you rich, says a spokesman, adding that on their release date of June 15, 2007, one penny was put into circulation in every state. It is unclear why territories such as the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and England were left out.

President George Bush is said to have personally approved the rare-coin giveaway "to give working families some financial hope."
