Exposed: Secret Plot to Free Charles Manson ... so he can kill again
By DEREK CLONTZ

A band of drug-crazed punks are hatching a secret plot to free one of
the most demented killers ever locked behind bars - madman cult guru Charles Manson.
The "rat-faced runt", as former President Richard Nixon called him, is
serving life sentences for ordering the savage murders of seven people, including pregnant
Hollywood film beauty Sharon Tate.
Now, like vermin festering up from the sewer, a swarm of misfits
and malcontents sporting shaved heads and stained white robes hope to do the unthinkable -
get Manson released from prison.
According to police in San Francisco and Los Angeles, almost 100 men and women in
their late teens and early 20s will take to the streets armed with flyers and petitions
calling for Manson to be paroled. An even more comprehensive Internet campaign also is in
the offing, but details, at this point, remain sketchy.
The carefully prepared plan - crafted by professional campaigners sympathetic to
Manson - calls for personal threats, intimidation and outright acts of violence to achieve
success.
"These people scare the hell out of me," admits a retired homicide cop who
saw firsthand the slaughter that Manson's disciples carried out in Tate's Beverly Hills
estate.
The ex-cop, who was one of the key figures in bringing Manson and his evil
"family" to justice, asked that he not be identified to protect his wife,
children and grandchildren.
"They want Manson out so that he can start another hate group at this
particular time in history - with a black president in the White House and lots of poor,
angry and disenfranchised white people seething with rage over job losses and our bad
economy.
"If you'll remember, Manson and his followers left behind clues and signals at
their murder scenes, clues that suggested black people were waging war - 'helter skelter',
Manson called it - against white people.
"Manson believed that such a war would destroy America and that he then could take
over as an Adolf Hitler-like leader. That obviously didn't happen, and the idea seemed
crazy at the time. But these days things are different. It's still farfetched, but not as
farfetched as it was a back then. We all are worried about what white supremacists might
do now that Barack Obama is our president.
"When you think about it, Manson, in a purely evil way, is almost as charismatic
as Obama. Now these people on the outside want Manson out of prison so they can all live
out in the hills of California and get doped up and make love to each other like Lynette
'Squeaky' Fromme and all those other poor souls that Manson mesmerized into bidding his
will back in 1969.
"Once under his spell, these new wackos will be just as dangerous as the old timers
were. All Manson would have to do is say, 'Go kill somebody', and they'd lick their chops
and go do it.
"But this time I don't think he would tell them to kill a movie star. I think he
would target someone far more important.
"It makes me sick to even think about it."
Murder and mayhem are exactly what occured on the night of August 9, 1969 when, on Manson's instructions, Charles "Tex"
Watson, Patricia Krenwinkle, Susan Atkins and Leslie Van Houten staged a massacre that
shocked and outraged the nation.
When the butchers finally finished their vicious rampage, Tate and four guests -
coffee heiress Abigail Folger, producer Voyteck Frykowswki, hairstylist Jay Sebring and
Steven Parent - were dead.
The five had been shot, clubbed and stabbed repeatedly while Tate begged to be allowed to
live for the sake of her unborn baby.
Instead, the fiends used Tate's blood to scrawl lunatic slogans and words like
"Pigs" and "War" on the walls. Two nights later, the slaughter was
repeated in the home of Leno and Rosemary La Bianca.
"Manson is one of the most evil, satanic men who's ever walked the face of the
earth," said the former cop. "If he gets out of prison, he'll start killing all
over again.,
"There isn't much chance that he will get out ... but you never know."
