Anthonys defiant refusal to cooperate with authorities has prevented closure in the
death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, whose remains have yet to be buried. The
following report illustrates how damaging such delays can be
THE teary-eyed ghost of a baby that restlessly
roamed an apartment building for 92 heartbreaking years finally crossed
over to the other side when the remains of his unburied body were discovered in the
attic and laid to rest, a paranormal expert reports.
His was a troubled spirit, but with the blessing of the clergy and a proper
burial, the child is free at last, Haller Voisart, the Swiss parapsychologist who
found the tots skeleton in the attic of the old structure, told me exclusively.
The tragedy is that it took over 90 years for us to find his remains and bury
them so he could find his peace.

His frequent appearances in the hallways of the building and the apartments
themselves were cries for help - cries that tenants heard but through ignorance and fear
couldnt do anything about.
Alaine Greder, 57, was one of many apartment dwellers who claimed to have seen the tiny
apparition since it was first spotted in the spring of 1917, in Basel, Switzerland.
Like other tenants who told friends and reporters what they had witnessed, she was
frightened at first.
But after the initial shock, my heart went out to him, she said.
He was a slight little thing, no older than 2 or 3. And you could tell that he
was sad and in great pain.
He was never visible for more than a few seconds. But he was always whimpering.
The only words I ever heard him utter were, Bury me, Mommy, bury me.
Claude Stuber, who bought the old apartment building from an elderly spinster in 1968,
told reporters that the toddling ghost - clad in neatly pinned cloth diapers, high-top
leather shoes and a blue summer shirt-always seems to gravitate toward windows on the
north side of the building.
He would gaze through the windows at the cemetery across the street, said
Stuber. Now we know why.
Although the spirit reportedly appeared hundreds of times over the years, Voisart only
learned about him in January.
I was visiting friends in Basel and they told me about the ghost, which was
something of a legend in the area, Voisart said.
I went to the apartment to talk wit the owner and tenants and immediately
realized that he was bound to an earthly plane by some terrible injustice.
It was clear to me that he longed to be buried. After a search of two days
we found his remains in a crib in the attic. They were wrapped in yellowed newspapers
dated Jan. 3, 1917.
Voisart alerted local authorities, who were unable to identify the remains or determine
the cause of death. Judging from the size of the childs bones, a doctor estimated
that he was between 2 and 3 years old when he died.
Its been several weeks since we buried him and he hasnt
appeared since, said Voisart. It was 92 years coming. But he has finally risen
to a higher plane, Im convinced.
